Yard Goats land founding sponsor

Hartford's financial sector employers have been good so far to the Hartford Yard Goats. 

The Hartford Financial Services Group said Friday that it has signed on as a founding sponsor of the minor league baseball team currently known as the New Britain Rock Cats.

The Hartford joins fellow insurer Travelers, which became a founding sponsor in June. Earlier that month, Dunkin’ Donuts bought the naming rights to the Downtown North stadium where the Yard Goats will play.

The Hartford and the Yard Goats didn’t disclose the cost of the sponsorship, which includes signage inside and outside and having the insurer’s name attached to the team’s starting line-up.
