On Thursday, October 12th, The Connection and our community partners will be hosting the inaugural Q Williams Taste of Middletown at the Historic Wadsworth Mansion in Middletown. This event will celebrate the vibrant culinary scene of Middletown while honoring the memory of our esteemed community leader, the late State Representative Quentin “Q” Williams, who was tragically killed this past January at the age of 39. As the visionary founder of the Taste of Middletown, Q Williams cherished the diverse flavors that our city has to offer, and his legacy lives on through this extraordinary event. In his honor, we are bringing together Middletown's most renowned restaurants, food trucks, bakeries, and breweries, live entertainment, and a silent auction. VIPS will get early access to food, drinks, and commemorative items at 5pm, and general admission will begin at 6pm. All proceeds from this event will benefit The Connection and The Q Fund at the Community Foundation of Middlesex County, which supports the causes Q cared about most: education, housing, and racial justice.
Our community partners for this event are the City of Middletown, Community Foundation of Middlesex County, Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce, Middletown Downtown Business District, Wesleyan University, Middlesex Health, Community Health Center of Middletown, and Brown and Brown Insurance of Connecticut.
General Admission Tickets - $50, VIP Tickets - $75. Sponsorship opportunities start at just $250.
