The minimum wage in Connecticut will increase from $15 to $15.69 per hour on Jan. 1, 2024, following a series of incremental $1 annual increases that began in 2019.
The 69-cent increase is the first automatic raise under a 2019 state law, which ties the minimum wage to the Employment Cost Index, a federal index that tracks wages.
Starting Jan. 1, 2024, and on each year on Jan. 1 moving forward, the state’s minimum wage will be adjusted according to the index.
