Hoffman Auto Group

2025 is shaping up to be another year of dynamic change and growth for the Hoffman Auto Group.

The Hoffman family-run enterprise embarked on its 105th year on the heels of last November’s grand opening of a new $18 million ground-up Porsche dealership serving both the greater Hartford and Springfield markets. It became New England’s first state-of-the-art ‘Generation 5’ Porsche center. The 35,000-square-foot facility has already been a difference-maker for the Hoffmans, the Porsche brand and the Porsche drivers throughout the Northeast who are coming through our doors.

Founded in 1921 by Israel Hoffman, Hoffman Auto Group has grown into one of Connecticut’s most respected family-owned businesses. With locations in East Hartford, Avon/Simsbury, Cheshire/Waterbury and New London, we represent nine brands and operate 10 dealerships and two collision centers that offer a balanced portfolio of domestic and import auto brands, including Audi, BMW, Ford, Honda, Lexus, Lincoln, Nissan, Porsche and Toyota.

“For 104 years, Hoffman Auto Group has been driven by trust, growing strategically while staying true to our values,” said Chairman Bradley Hoffman. “This is an exhilarating time for Team Hoffman professionally and a gratifying time for our family personally.

The fourth generation of Hoffman family leaders are helming the business: Matthew Hoffman, President Hoffman East; Jonathan Hoffman, Director of Fixed Operations Hoffman West; Zachary Hoffman, Director of Sales Hoffman West; and Joshua Hoffman, Director of Digital Strategy & Business Development.

Ask any of the Hoffman family how they earn their motto “Driven by trust,” and they will tell you that while their brands are recognized worldwide, it’s the people who make up “Team Hoffman” and their commitment to providing the best service possible who make them stand out.

“There’s a reason why our group of dealerships has been named the Best of Hartford for 19 consecutive years,” said Bradley Hoffman, “and it’s our people. We’re proud to have become a sought-after place for those who want to take the next step in their automotive career. We treat our people well; we invest in them and their advancement; and we celebrate their success.”

Hoffman Auto Group has developed a “culture where team members are rewarded for their hard work,” and they mean it. They provide all of their technicians, sales and customer service team members with training, development opportunities, tuition reimbursement and other benefits, and they promote team members into management opportunities from within the company.

If you don’t recognize the Hoffman name from purchasing or servicing your car, chances are that you know them from the many ways that Hoffman Community Partners has helped countless community nonprofit organizations flourish.

Community, integrity, customers and family are very much at the core of Hoffman Auto Group. Hoffman Community Partners and the Burton and Phyllis Hoffman Foundation have fostered relationships with over 150 organizations throughout Connecticut, centering their community-building on the four pillars of health & wellness, education, social well-being and the arts.

As for the future, you’ll hear nothing but boundless enthusiasm from the Hoffmans about the road ahead. They’re focused on continued growth, characterized by the high-touch service, transparency and trust that four generations of Hoffmans have delivered to thousands of satisfied customers for over a century.
