Parkerville Wood Products

Tucked away in the heart of Connecticut, Parkerville Wood Products is a place where traditional craftsmanship meets modern technology. Stocking and selling over 80 species of hard- and softwood lumber, cabinet-grade plywood, unique wood slabs, and a vast array of woodworking and finishing supplies, Parkerville is more than just a lumberyard. It’s a full-service destination for custom woodworking, cabinetry and interior millwork, serving everyone from handy local homeowners to prestigious national institutions.

What sets Parkerville apart is its ability to straddle two different worlds – both the complex needs of high-profile commercial clients and the everyday demands of local DIYers and contractors. While the Parkerville team has completed high-end millwork packages for Fortune 500 companies, Connecticut’s casinos, universities and even White House cabinet officers, they’re just as enthusiastic about helping a neighbor repair a piece of heirloom furniture or replicate historic molding for an older home.

“We like to say no job is too big or too small,” says company founder and president David Harris. “We bring the same attention to detail and craftsmanship to every project, whether it’s restoring a cherished piece of furniture or outfitting a museum with custom millwork.”

When it opened in 2005, Parkerville Wood Products quickly established itself as a preferred supplier of specialty hardwoods and plywood for woodworking and cabinetry, with about 50 distinct species of wood in stock. Over time, the company expanded its operations to include compete custom milling and fabrication services. Today, Parkerville stocks 80 species of hard- and softwood lumber, a wide selection of cabinet, marine and Baltic birch plywood, decking, woodworking supplies and more. Indeed, the company’s reputation for variety and versatility draws customers from as far away as New Hampshire and Long Island.

Parkerville also offers cutting, milling and custom fabrication services to meet nearly any request. The showroom features saw blades, router bits, finishing materials and tools – making it a go-to destination for professionals and hobbyists ready to start their next project.

Recent developments at Parkerville signal even greater things ahead. The company purchased its current building and is actively exploring expansion opportunities, including a potential satellite retail location. The plans speak to the growing demand for high-quality wood products and personalized service found at an operation like Parkerville.

“There are very few places like us left – physical locations where people can actually come in, see and touch cabinet-grade hardwoods. We want to preserve that experience and make it accessible to more people,” Harris said.

At its core, Parkerville is a business built on relationships. Much of its work requires close collaboration with architects, designers and contractors, and the company prides itself on its commitment to clarity, communication and transparency.

“We go the extra mile,” Harris said. “That’s why we’ve been able to cultivate and keep customers both locally and nationally.”

In a world increasingly dominated by online retailers and mass production, Parkerville stands out as a place where customers can still find quality, integrity and personal service – as well as an unmatched selection of beautiful wood products.
