Skyler came to the Hartford Business Journal in December 2021 after spending more than six years at daily newspapers. A Connecticut native, Skyler graduated from Keene State College in New Hampshire in 2015 and traveled across the country to Idaho to begin his journalism career. After a year at the Post Register in Idaho Falls, he returned to Connecticut and began working at the New Britain Herald covering government and education. Following a few years in New Britain, Skyler accepted a position at the Journal Inquirer in Manchester, covering the paper’s largest municipal beats. Skyler is an avid fan of basketball and football and enjoys traveling and visiting the country’s National Parks.
